What if I select one design package, but realize during the design process that I need a different package?

Great! We can seamlessly proceed to the next level of design with you, and previous payment will go towards the next phase.

What should I expect after selecting a design package?

Accepted Answer

Once you select a design package, we'll start with a 30-60 minute ChefVue session with your dedicated Chef Designer. During this call, we'll discuss your vision and needs, translating them into a preliminary layout. We'll have additional ChefVue sessions to collaborate in real-time and make necessary revisions. Depending on your package, you'll join two or three design review meetings before finalizing the layout and equipment package. For more details, check out our package comparison.

How long does the design process take?

The timeline for the design process varies by package, with some completed in as little as 2 weeks. During each ChefVue meeting, your dedicated Chef will outline the timelines and next steps, keeping you informed throughout the process.

How do I communicate with my designer?

Accepted Answer

We will communicate with you via email and text. The Design Kick-Off and ChefVue meetings will take place through Zoom, where your Chef will collaborate with you and make real-time changes if needed. PDF Drawings will be sent to you via email.

Can I use my existing equipment in the new design?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can use your existing equipment in the new design. Our goal is to create an efficient and effective space that brings your vision to life. Please bring the equipment dimensions, manufacturer/model numbers, and utility requirements to the ChefVue Kick-Off meeting so we can incorporate them into the design.

Can I purchase the equipment I need from ChefVue?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You can purchase through our partner LaBel Foodservice Equipment. Once your design is finalized we can submit it to LaBel who will send you an equipment quote for your project.

Would I be able to submit these drawings for permitting and health inspections?

Accepted Answer

No, the documents provided through this service are for concept and layout only. All documents needed for permitting or health inspections would need to be provided by a licensed professional.

Are the design documents construction-ready?

No, the design documents we provide are for concept and layout purposes only. You'll need a construction professional to create the necessary documents for permitting and health inspections.

Can I buy a design if I'm not ready to start construction?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! You can purchase a design at any stage of your project. During our 15-minute ChefVue session and Design Kick-Off meeting, we'll guide you on the information needed to make the design as effective as possible for your needs.
